KS1 have had a super time today 😀

We love DT in KS1. We have been so busy- researching, designing, planning, making and evaluating our own toy vehicles. The children have used iPads, paints, scissors, saws, drillsWell done KS1, you’re fabulous designers!

Today, we started to investigate how electricity was discovered and challenged ourselves to work out some electrical problems.

We have been learning to paint in the style of David Hockney in KS1. Each child was given a small section of one of Hockney’s paintings and had to mix the appropriate colours for their picture. I’m sure you will agree that we have some super artists in KS1!

FSU spent an afternoon hunting for quadrilaterals in our outdoor spaces, as part of our learning ‘all about four’. We found squares, rectangles, trapeziums, even spotting a rhombus amongst the willow structures! We noticed and counted four sides and vertices.

The children had a fantastic afternoon gardening this week. They worked brilliantly as a team.
