More from Day 2
We lunched in the Castle Museum gardens and then completed the quiz. Spent some time sketching in the ruins of the abbey then made our way to the Castle Museum. The prison especially was a hit as well as the WW1 sections of the museum. Back to the house to chill out just now before changing for dinner out and then the cinema.
Day 2 so far…
Here’s our morning so far. Everyone made their packed lunches and we then went to Yorvik Viking Centre. We’re having lunch in the sunshine in the Castle Gardens before heading off to do the historical Trail and then the Castle Museum. Then it’s tea out and the cinema. Anyone else exhausted?
More photos from today – Day 1 in York
We’ve had a brilliant first day in York. The accommodation is fantastic, we’ve walked the city walls, stopped for ice cream, ‘done’ the Shambles, made and ate lashings of pasta and garlic bread for tea, devoured a huge Victoria sponge, went on a ghost walk and now we’re all having hot chocolate and chilling a bit before bed. There’s a lot of sleepy looking year 6 children and a few yawns from staff too. Everyone is having an amazing time, enjoying being in York and your kids are fabulous company. Oh yes and it hasn’t rained too much and the forecast is dry for tomorrow! Mrs Grainger x

School razzle dazzled by amazing performances!
Wow! Everybody made the staff so proud this week in our perfomances of "Annie". Well done to all the main characters who had so many lines to learn and to everybody who played their parts so well. The tech team were equally fantastic, doing their jobs really professionally. Roll on next year!
Sneak preview
A behind the scenes view before the first performance of Annie tonight. What an evening! Really wonderful, heart felt performance by all involved.
Sports Day 2019
The deluge of rain couldn’t put the competitors of Woodmansey off last week. Brilliant sports day had by all. Thanks again to the wonderful Mr Wood for hosting our morning.
Viking writing inspiration
Mrs Fisher and Mrs Owst inspired the Yr 3/4 children the other day by re-enacting life on a Viking longboat.
