KS1 visit to St Peters
We had a brilliant time at St Peters, learning about the church as a special place. The children asked some brilliant questions and learned lots about their local church. Thanks to the parents and grand parents who accompanied us.
Super visit to St Peters
Investigating Trees
KS1 had a great time last week, learning about evergreen and deciduous trees. We walked around the school grounds, deciding whether trees were deciduous or evergreen. Then, when we returned to class, we sorted trees according to their properties. We learned lots about different trees!

Visiting Speaker from Trinidad in KS1
We were very lucky to have the visit of Alison, who grew up in Trinidad. She spoke to the children about the geography, culture and features of Trinidad and Tobago. We learned about the education system, religion, natural resources…Alison answered LOTS of questions – the children were very interested to learn more about what it was like to be a child in the Caribbean. Alison brought lots of resources to show the children- clothes, photos and even a steel pan! She taught the children a game she played in her childhood- lots of fun!
Creating a Caribbean Coral Reef
The children have been learning to make sculptures of sea creatures using a range of materials- papier-mâché, mod rock, clay and pipe cleaners. Our sea creatures will be used to make a coral reef.
