In DT, Y1/2 have been tasting different vegetables as part of their Bubble and Squeak project. They tasted broccoli, carrot, onion, peppers, peas, corn…

This afternoon, the Y1/2 children disassembled a bubble and squeak to find out what it was made from. The children are looking forward to tasting some possible ingredients and then designing their own bubble and squeak.

We petted, stroked, and fed Curly-Fry and Milky, whilst learning that sheep only have bottom teeth, have hooves to protect from stony ground… and many other interesting facts. We asked questions and showed how gentle and caring we are!

We worked with a partner to practise batting and catching beanbags. We practised using our ‘cupping hands’ and watching the beanbag.
