Marvellous Music
FSU enjoy their Thai Green Curry
We enjoyed recreating the outdoor street food experience by eating our Thai Green Curry in the outdoor classroom, underneath our Thai flags and Thai prayer banners. It was so delicious that it was all eaten up in no time at all. Look out for the recipe in book bags!
FSU make a Thai Green Curry
FSU children enjoy prepping vegetables, and smelling herbs and spices ready to make a Thai green curry. We practised snipping, tearing, chopping, and squeezing ingredients. We smelled and named the ingredients, as well as discussing healthy foods.
Creating our own Thai musical performance
FSU were so inspired by their Thai music workshop with Mrs Walker, that they went straight outside to create their own Thai music to perform for each other in our outdoor theatre.
FSU explore Thai music with Mrs Walker.
We listened to Thai music, talked about and named Thai instruments, then explored different instruments to copy, and finally create our own Thai music. We kept a beat and created our own rhythms. We performed for, and listened to each otherβs music.
FSU enjoy mask making
Making Thai ghost masks for our festival to celebrate our
International fortnight. We selected fixatives and arranged teeth and eyebrows in different ways to represent our number of the week – eight. We explored acrylic paints.
Marvellous Masks continued
Today we are painting the masks in KS1. What do you think of our designs?
Tantalising Thai Curry
Today KS1 cooked a tantalising Thai green curry. They chopped, sliced, stirred, juiced… Once the ingredients were ready, we headed to the outdoor classroom to cook our amazing curry.
