Brilliant Bar Models
Today Y2 have been solving 2 step problems using bar models, column addition and subtraction. They have made so much progress with this and I’m absolutely delighted with their marvellous maths. What an amazing achievement from all of Y2!
FSU keen ornithologists
FSU enjoy bird watching with binoculars, recording and counting their sightings, as well as naming birds and researching in books.
Working scientifically in FSU
FSU children investigate and sort items that roll and do not roll; test their ideas; change the variables; and then begin to measure how far different items might roll.
FSU funky fingers folding paper!
FSU loved wearing yellow for our Thai festival today; and enjoyed using their funky fingers to follow instructions and fold paper to create Thai lantern boats, then decorate them for a Thai lantern festival.
Thai Spring rolls in maths!
FSU enjoyed counting and arranging vegetables in different ways to make their Thai spring rolls in a maths session. They were intrigued by the texture of the rice paper, and lots of fun was had trying to roll the vegetables in their wrappers! Eating them was certainly an experience for some!
FSU Thai Ghost mask parade and Thai dancing
FSU enjoyed their Ghost mask parade and Thai dancing today!
